Galax man charged with burglary

Marshall Marceaux, 26, of Galax was arrested and charged with burglary of a home in Galax on July 8. Galax police were called to the home of Doug and Mary Ellen Vaught on Friday after they discovered that their home had been broken into.
The victims reported prescription medicine and jewelry had been taken. Galax Police Officer Bill Shaffner and Detective J.B. Greer charged Marceaux with the offense. He was transported to the New River Valley Regional Jail pending his appearance in the Galax General District Court. Read more: Galax man charged with burglary
