Looking Out for the Little Guys

I sometimes hear folks talking about "who's looking out for the little guy". Usually, the topic comes up in discussions about income, health care, and other aspects of human life. Many times references are made to a political party or politicians. Americans have to ask themselves, who's really looking out for us 'little guys'?

We need to start with our "littlest guys", Babies! Which President and party have kept abortion more accessible instead of less. Obama and the Democrats, that's who! Now with Obamacare, they've even got ways to make everyone else pay for it. Is that looking out for the 'littlest guys'?

What about our school-age children? President Obama appointed Kevin Jennings as his "Safe Schools Czar". Jennings is pushing a pro-homosexual agenda in America’s elementary schools, and even wrote the foreword to a book entitled "Queering Elementary Education". He admitted to developing the “anti-bullying” and "safe school" labels as covert ways to present his pro-homosexual agenda as a “safety” issue. This man is "looking out for the little guys", but not in ways that most of us would agree with!

How about health care coverage? The government keeps trying to tell us how great Obamacare is. What they are not telling you is the 'real cost' that we "little guys" will have to pay. Thanks to the government, up to 14 million Americans can soon lose their their employer-sponsored health insurance. They will offer an alternative, but the quality and choices that we've had until now will be replaced with rationing and mediocrity. Taxes and fees will be sharply increased, and we "little guys" won't be better off for it. Of course, many expensive union health insurance plans will be exempted from Obamacare, but that won't stop them from receiving taxpayer funded bailouts when they financially collapse under the new 'Obama-economy'.

We all need affordable energy. Yet Obama, Boucher, and the Democrats are pushing 'Cap & Trade', now repackaged as the 'American Power Act'. Regardless of what they call it, Cap & Trade will cause "little guys" to lose jobs, and in Obama's own words, suffer "necessarily skyrocketing energy prices". Watch how Obama is handling the oil spill in the Gulf, that's what we've got to look forward to as more energy-industries are regulated or operated by the federal government.

What are some other ways that Obama & Co. are "looking out for the little guy"?

A recent Federal Court decision prevents the Federal Communications Commission from imposing regulations on internet providers. So Obama's FCC Chairman, Julius Genachowski, decided to arbitrarily reclassify the internet as a telephone service, allowing him to 'bypass' the approval of Congress. His so-called "net neutrality" basically takes control of the internet from private organizations and gives it to the government. Have you heard about the restrictions on internet use in China? If so, then you know how our internet will be in a few years.

Back in the days of John L. Lewis, the unions were viewed as "looking out for the little guys". Now many people in union leadership are just as power-hungry and greedy as politicians! For example, President Obama's appointment of Craig Becker to the National Labor Relations Board is clearly intended to take away our option to choose union representation or not. "Card-check" takes away the right of workers to have Constitutional secret-ballot elections, and subjects them to intimidation by union recruiters during membership drives. It will also allow the government to force contracts on workers. So much for us "little guys".

Thanks to Obama and the Democrats, our taxes are paying for abortions and soon for sub-standard health care. His radical appointees are indoctrinating our children, artificially inflating energy costs, over-regulating activities like the internet, and forcing unionization.

"Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". The growing corruption in our federal government proves that Obama and the Democrats are definitely not "Looking Out for the Little Guy".
