Sapp, James Allen

James Allen Sapp, 77, of Elk Creek, Va., passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010, at his residence. He was born March 29, 1933, at West Jefferson, N.C., to William Oscar and Effie Elizabeth Roark Sapp. Surviving is his wife, Ruth Sapp, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda Hale and Bud Haroldson, of Culpeper, Va., Mildred and David Alley, of Woodlawn, Va., Evelyn and Rex Sutherland, of Elk Creek, Va., and Phyllis and Michael Taylor, of Vinton, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Janice Sapp, of Elk Creek, Va.; brother, Harold Sapp, of Oxford, Pa.; sisters and brother-in-law, Doris and Don Jackson, of Orlando, Fla., and Frances Walker, of Panama City, Fla.; seven grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren also survive. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 4, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010, in Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel, Independence, Va. Interment in Harrington Cemetery, Comers Rock, Va.
